Cattle Australia Constitution Review Submission
Documents & Downloads
Livestock SA has provided a submission to Cattle Australia as part of its constitution review, calling for greater recognition of State Farming Organisations (SFOs) in the governance structure.
Key recommendations include:
-
Strengthening the role and influence of SFOs in policy consultation and decision-making
-
Rebalancing representation within the Regional Consultative Committee (RCC)
-
Granting voting rights to Industry Members, or establishing a dedicated voting class
-
Undertaking an independent review of membership classes and governance fairness
Livestock SA believes the current constitution does not adequately reflect the contribution and legitimacy of organisations representing thousands of levy-paying producers. Our recommendations aim to ensure Cattle Australia is representative, responsive, and accountable to its full membership base.
