Livestock SA is actively advocating on behalf of members in response to fuel price volatility and supply uncertainty. We are engaged directly with the South Australian Government and industry through the State Government’s Fuel Security Roundtable, ensuring the impacts on livestock producers and regional communities are clearly understood. We are sharing real time, on the ground intelligence from members to inform discussions around fuel availability, distribution challenges and pricing pressures.
Drought Technical Advice
Technical advice is available for primary producers through both PIRSA Recovery Hotline and Red Meat Challenges project administrated by Livestock SA.
Accessing Fodder
Dry conditions continue to impact feed availability. Livestock SA is advocating for fodder freight subsidies and has helped secure inspection fee waivers for drought-affected producers. Biosecurity requirements apply when bringing fodder into SA.
