Hon Clare Scriven MLC Minister for Primary Industries and she will be joined by Senator the Hon Don Farrell Federal Minister for Trade at the forum which will feature 13 other women guest speakers.

The Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb traditionally stages an industry workshop or forum and this year in partnership with the South Australian Country Women’s Association Warnes Group we will place a focus on the influence women have for the sheep industry. The forums and workshops attract strong interest from the public and are a great way to learn about industry.

The program is jam packed with award winners including an author, sheep producers, wool classes, shearers, chefs, fashion designers and industry representatives from across Australia. This event is not just for women but for anyone interested in knowing more about the sheep industry.”

Industry speakers are from Livestock SA, Meat and Livestock Australia, Australian Wool Innovation and Sheep Producers Australia. Some of the award-winning speakers include Nikki Atkinson 2024 SA Agri Futures Rural Women's Award Winner, Cathy Wendelborn Shearers Hall of Fame and Liz Harfull an international prize-winning author.

The SACWA Warnes Group will be catering for the forum, and they will feature local Clare Valley Wunderbar Lamb and Four Leaf Milling Organic Flour. This year’s forum is supported by Livestock SA and with the impacts of the drought it will also be a chance to place a spot light on the industry during some tough times.
