The SA Red Meat and Wool Blueprint 2030 is developed by industry for industry

A collaboration between industry, government, researchers and professional service providers, the South Australian Red Meat and Wool Blueprint 2030 is the industry’s strategic plan and roadmap.

The 2030 Blueprint vision is for:

A progressive and sustainable South Australian red meat and wool value-chain, that is connected and adaptable. Together, we are empowered to capture market opportunities and to continually improve the wellbeing, productivity and profitability of our livestock, people and land”.

The 2030 Blueprint:

  • Aligns with key national and state strategic plans, including the National Sheep and Beef Sustainability Frameworks, Red Meat 2030, CN30, Wool 2030, Carbon Farming Roadmap for South Australia, and SA State Emissions Reduction Strategy.
  • Amalgamates 6 strategic plans that Livestock SA previously managed and supported which included the SA Sheep, Beef and Biosecurity Blueprints, Sheep and Cattle Industry Fund Management Plans and the Livestock SA Strategic Plan.

Organised by 5 key pillars: Our livestock, Our environment, Our market access, Our people and Our industry, the 2030 Blueprint guides and ensures our industry’s success through 16 priority areas within these pillars and 37 key targets that the industry is striving to achieve by 2030.

The 2030 Blueprint is supported by the whole value chain. Livestock SA is charged by industry to drive its delivery and currency.
