Livestock SA continues to advocate for SA livestock producers, ensuring your voice is heard on key industry issues.

🔹 Drought Advocacy โ€“ Weโ€™ve called on the Premier to visit drought-affected regions. Meetings with both Government and Opposition and pushing for urgent support.

🔹 State Budget Submission โ€“ Seeking funding for truck wash facilities, carbon baselining, wild dog control, drought infrastructure and eID rollout.

🔹 Greater Adelaide Regional Plan โ€“ Calling for better protection of primary production land. Producers deserve a seat at the table.

🔹 Livestock Advisory Committee โ€“ Committee now established, with first meeting to assess project applications coming up.

🔹 eID Workshops โ€“ Learn how eID can boost productivity. Workshops on 8โ€“10 April across Coonalpyn, Wunkar and Kapunda.

🔹 Wool Harvesting Training โ€“ A new animal welfare course is rolling out to support best-practice sheep handling in sheds.

🔹 Federal Election & Red Tape โ€“ Supporting national calls for investment in ag and highlighting the burden of red tape in recent media and columns.

Correction 📢 under Iโ€™m a sheep and goat producer โ€“ do I need scanning equipment for eID tags? the correction should be:

Sheep and farmed goats born on or after 1 January 2025 must be identified with an NLIS-accredited eID tag before leaving their property of birth.
