Applications closing soon for Sheep and Cattle Industry Fund projects

Livestock SA is reminding industry groups, service providers and collaborators that applications for the Sheep Industry Fund (SIF) and Cattle Industry Fund (CIF) for the 2026–27 financial year are closing at 5.00pm on Friday, 27 March 2026.

The Sheep and Cattle Industry Funds support projects that deliver clear, practical benefits for South Australia’s sheep and cattle industries and align with the SA Red Meat and Wool Blueprint 2030. Projects are assessed on their contribution to industry priorities, benefits to producers, alignment with state and national objectives, and the ability to leverage co-funding.

Funding is available for initiatives that address industry priorities including animal health, traceability, market access, skills development, sustainable production and advocacy, including:

  • animal health and biosecurity
  • traceability and market access
  • skills, business capability and industry development
  • sustainable and productive livestock systems
  • advocacy and strategic industry initiatives.

Livestock SA CEO Travis Tobin said the funds play a critical role in backing practical, producer focused projects.

“These funds are reinvested directly into projects that support producers and strengthen South Australia’s sheep and cattle industries,” Mr Tobin said.

“We encourage anyone with a strong project idea that aligns with industry priorities to act quickly and get their application in before the closing date.”

Detailed funding guidelines and application forms are available through the Livestock SA Industry Funds portal, with applications assessed against alignment with Blueprint targets, industry benefit and co-investment.

Applications close at 5.00pm on Friday, 27 March 2026.
