The upcoming South Australian state election is a critical moment for the future of the livestock industry and the regional communities it supports.

Policy decisions made during this election cycle will shape the strength, resilience and competitiveness of an industry that underpins regional economies, manages more than half of the state’s landmass and supports a significant share of South Australia’s manufacturing and export base.

In the lead‑up to the election, Livestock SA is actively engaging with political parties, candidates, producers and the broader community to ensure the priorities of livestock producers are clearly understood and meaningfully addressed. Grounded in the SA Red Meat and Wool Blueprint 2030, our election priorities focus on practical, evidence‑based actions that deliver real outcomes on farm, across supply chains and for the wider state economy.

We encourage producers and stakeholders to follow along, stay informed and join us in calling for policies that recognise and invest in what underpins South Australia’s economy.
