Explore the links between strategic grazing and soil health with Dick Richardson of Nature’s Equity, Amanda Schapel of PIRSA and soil scientist Ed Scott.
Come along to Ben and Julianne's Delamere property, where Dick Richardson from Nature's Equity will explore Ben's strategic grazing regime and share information regarding natural land management practices that are both economical and practical.
A study on soil health was completed comparing results on the property when it shifted from a conventional grazing system to a more strategic grazing system, with outcomes to be unpacked during the event.
Ed Scott, Soil Scientist and Advisor from Soil and Land Co, will join participants to share the fundamentals of soil and focus on the importance of measuring before managing. The Knowing Your Soils Ute Guide will be available to attendees.
An event like this wouldn’t be complete without morning tea and some lunch!
Please contact Bonnie Armour, Carbon Farming and Soils Extension Officer from Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board if you have any questions. Please contact office 08 8391 7500 or Bonnie on 0407 218 295 / email Bonnie.Armour2@sa.gov.au
This project is funded by the South Australian Government’s Landscape Priorities Fund (LPF). The LPF redistributes landscape levies collected by Green Adelaide in the metropolitan area to regional landscape boards.
The event is also supported by the SA Soils Collaboration Centre and the Soils Knowledge Network. To get in touch, PIRSA.SASoilNetwork@sa.gov.au - stronger networks, healthier soils.
